My great great grandmother was Caroline Inskipp born Battle 1805 and died St Leonards 1873. Her husband was Charles Fuggle. Inskip was the middle name of my great grandfather, Walter Inskipp Fuggle and my uncle Bernard W Inskip Fuggle. I would be interested to know more about the Inskipp family of Battle as I am unable to find any online records beyond or associated with Caroline Fuggle (Inskipp). Any information you can give would be gratefully received. Thank you in advance. |

Can anyone help me with the Inskipp family from Battle. My mother came from St Leonards but I recall there being graves in Battle churchyard for several Inskipp's. We had many old documents at home relating to the Battle Poor Law or other alms and the Overseer was an Inskipp. My family gave them to what was then Battle Local History Society/Museum which I vaguely remember was somewhere near the Post Office - Langton Hall possibly. I would be grateful for any leads or help. |
